Founded in 1955, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.
NASW-Pennsylvania ChapterAbout UsThe Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-PA) has thousands of members who live and work in the State of Pennsylvania. We support the state's more than 40,000 licensed social workers and social work students.
Our office is located in Mechanicsburg (1000 Bent Creek Blvd, Suite 40). Our State Chapter is then broken into 9 regions called "Divisions," each with a Regional Representative. Learn more about our Board of Directors and staff.
Our MissionNASW-Pennsylvania has a dual mission to (1) promote, develop and protect the practice of social workers in Pennsylvania and (2) enhance the effective functioning and well-being of individuals, families and communities in Pennsylvania through its work and advocacy.

About the National Association of Social WorkersNASW is a membership organization that advocates for all social workers, nationally and locally, and works to shape public policy and advance the role of social work in effecting social change. NASW also develops and maintains a set of standards that guide the professional conduct of social workers called the "NASW Code of Ethics".
