Screening of Documentary "Our American Family" (3 ceus) in Media

 

NASW-PA with Southeast and Brandywine Divisions in coordination with with Life Unites Us, Co-Sponsor by Delaware Valley Christian Church and Silver Pines | Steps to Recovery Treatment Center Presents

 

Please Note: 

COVID-19 Attestation Requirement

 

All registrants must attest that they are either (1) up to date on their COVID vaccinations (as defined by the CDC), or (2) if they are not up to date, that they will take an antigen (rapid) test within 48 hours of the event and refrain from attending if testing positive. Under current CDC guidelines, being up to date means one has completed the primary vaccination series and has received the most recent booster dose recommended by the CDC. All registrants are strongly encouraged to be up to date on their vaccinations. 

 

Screening and Panel Discussion of the Documentary Our American Family

Time: - 5:30pm - Check in for attendees with pizza, popcorn and drinks 

  - 5:55pm - Introductions and thank you to our partners and sponsors

  - 6:00 - 7:30pm - Documentary screening

  - 7:30 - 9:00pm Q&A, Talk to with family members and conversation (s) about practice implications and takeaways for social workers/attendees

Course Objectives

- Talk-to and Q&A with family members about the documentary

- Explore themes within the movie with attendees

- Examine attendees' responses to the movie, including their emotional and intellectual responses.

- Apply attendee responses with group input/insights/questions/comments to foster increased understanding of self and explore application(s) to their social practice

CEU Offered: 3

Due to a grant from Life Unites Us and our sponsors, we are able to offer this program at no cost for NASW members and social work students and low cost for others

 

Fees: $0 for NASW Members & social work students
