Data shows what’s happening, but stories show who it’s happening to. Join us to explore why personal stories, like those made famous by Studs Terkel, are powerful tools for advocacy and public awareness. You’ll learn how to spot clients with stories that matter, understand the difference between data and lived experience, and see how sharing these stories can drive real change for health coverage in Pennsylvania. If you care about making an impact beyond the numbers, this session is for you. Description With the increase in research investigating psychedelic drugs as treatment for a variety of mental disorders, it is important to understand the essentials of this new class of drugs, as they may enter clinical practice in the coming years. Learning objectives: 1) Differentiate various nomenclatures around the psychedelic drug class and sub-classes, 2) Identify the common features of psychedelic-induced experiences, 3) Understand the range of potential psychedelic-induced experiences and their implication in clinical research with select patient populations.
