Drawing on the Transactional Model of Stress and Coping, this interactive, case-based course outlines diverse strategies for advancing spiritual well-being to strengthen meaning-making and purpose fulfillment while minimizing symptoms of pain and fatigue. The course describes best practices in religion and spiritual assessment and treatment, with particular attention to appropriately integrating Spiritually-Oriented CBT. Consideration of practical methods for enhancing spiritual coping interweaves across the discussion.   Learning Objectives:   Discuss the psychosocial-spiritual experiences reshaping persons’ way of life in relation to assessment and treatment.   Describe best practices of integrating the religion/spiritual domain and Spiritually-Oriented CBT across therapeutic processes utilizing case studies.   Analyze the Transactional Model of Stress and Coping in connection with cultural disruption and spiritual well-being advancing therapeutic methods.   Apply the Model, best practices, and practical methods to practice through case study analysis.
