The Effects of Trauma on the African-American & the Community  

This training will help registrants understand the effects that trauma has on the African American community; as well as long-term effects that result from exposure and perception of racism and discrimination. In an attempt to capture how racism and discrimination negatively impacts the physical and mental health of people of color, we will explore the term "racial trauma" or race-based traumatic stress.
