Resistant Anxiety, Worry and Panic

 40 Effective Strategies

Southeast/Philadelphia Division is thrilled to host internationally-known anxiety expert and author, Dr. Jennifer Abel, PhD for a very special division event.  In this jam-packed dinner seminar, Dr. Abel will present 40 evidence-based strategies for treatment resistant anxiety, worry and panic.  You will learn how to assess clients' anxious habits, symptoms and behaviors, and how to treat them with effective give evidence-based strategies that work with even our toughest clients. Learn empirically-sound methods to stop the anxiety spiral early to prevent anxiety and panic from getting out of control, and learn how to use unique, effective approaches incorporating mindfulness, cognitive therapy, interoceptive exposure and better-but-believable thoughts.  Dr. Abel succeeds where other therapists fail. She demystifies the theory.         

Presented by: Jennifer L. Abel, Ph.D
Jennifer is an international speaker and clinical psychologist who has specialized in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders for over 20 years. Before opening a private practice, she served as the associate director of the Stress and Anxiety Disorders Institute at Penn State under the direction of the leading expert in Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) T.D. Borkovec.  Weekly brainstorming sessions with Dr. Borkovec and Dr. Lytle led to the development of numerous innovative techniques based on evidence-based approaches that effectively treat anxiety disorders and related problems such as insomnia, irritability and fatigue.
