Brandywine Division Presents:

Ethics, Domestic Violence and Food Insecurity

Live Zoom Webinar

Select which workshops you would like to participate in on the registration page

Please join us for 1,2 or all 3 virtual, interactive seminars to discuss: ethics and the environment, intersectionality and domestic violence and food insecurity. The first workshop will focus on our ethical obligation to address climate change.  One of the challenges we face is that many of the individuals we work are disproportionally impacted by climate change.  The second workshop will focus on domestic violence, specifically how bias influences perceptions, and thus stereotypes, creating barriers for care and assistance. An intersectional approach allows for social workers to better understand their clients and for clients to better understand themselves and their experiences. The third workshop will  review the issues surrounding food insecurity in the US and discuss novel ways that social workers can understand the extent of the condition as well as devise multi-level strategies and interventions to combat hunger in their communities.
