Rates

The Cost of Placing an Ad in the Jobs Bulletin is as low as $40 for a two month listing. The flat rate of $40 is for the first 150 words. Each word after 150 is $1 per word. Payment must be received before the ad can be run online.

Submissions

The Online Jobs Bulletin is published on the NASW Web site of the 5th and 20th of each month. Deadlines for submission are the 1st and 15th respectively. The Pennsylvania Chapter of NASW publishes job listings to its membership and to social service agencies. We do not take or give out application materials, nor do we act as an employment intermediary. The accuracy or validity of the job description provided by agencies or qualifications submitted by applicants is the sole responsibilities of those parties.

Outreach/Children’s Hospital Program Manager

 

Basic Function

Gilda’s Club Western Pennsylvania’s Outreach/Children’s Hospital Program Manager will help implement the organization’s program operations in the Gilda’s Club clubhouse and at Children’s Hospital.  The individual will relate to all Gilda’s Club audiences including members, potential members, volunteers and Children’s Hospital audiences including patients, families and staff.

 

The Program Manager will report to the Program Director and be a member of the executive management team.  Job responsibilities will include working closely with the Program Director on outreach in support of expanding children’s hospital programming and facilitation of children’s activities as well as planning and implementing Gilda’s Club programming at Children’s Hospital.   

 

Priorities and Key Expectations 

The Outreach/Children’s Hospital Program Manager will be expected to:

           Thoroughly understand Gilda’s Club’s program and philosophy.

           Develop, implement, and manage the Children’s Hospital Noogieland Program for children and families, which include:

 

Conduct outreach efforts at Children’s Hospital to inform prospective members of program availability and enhance awareness. 

 

Develop and create a Children’s Hospital monthly calendar of events.  Plan and facilitate structured age appropriate activities.

 

Facilitate Support Groups/Networking Groups, Team Convene and   Family Focus, Workshops/Lecture/Social Activities, New Member

 

 

 

Meetings and Customized Membership Plans at Children’s Hospital.

 

Assist with training and supervision of Noogieland volunteers at Children’s Hospital to best address the mission of the organization.

 

          Participate in community activities and clubhouse functions.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

           Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Certified Mental Health Professional in the state of Pennsylvania.

 

           Minimum of two years work experience and one of those years with children.

 

           Demonstrated sensitivity, understanding and commitment to the Gilda’s Club mission, core values (i.e. respect, integrity, commitment to human services and excellence), and program (understanding, appreciation and acceptance of Gilda’s Club philosophy). 

 

           Knowledge of local community, cancer support services, and organizations for outreach efforts is preferred.

Case Managers must be committed to People's Emergency Center's belief in the quality, dignity and worth of every person and recognize that homelessness and poverty are systemic issues that require community responses.
