Southeast/Philadelphia Division Presents:
Hunger & Food Insecurity in American
Movie Screening of "A Place at the Table"
with Discussion & Dinner
Social workers are often confronted with issues related to hunger in our schools, with our client families, and with those that are isolated and impoverished. "A Place at the Table" is a powerful documentary about hunger in our county and our cities. Partially filmed in Philadelphia, this film and discussion will change your thinking about hunger-a significant problem here in the US, not just other countries. Discussion will be led by Kathy Fisher, JD, MSW, policy manager at "Coalition Against Hunger", who will bring us up to date on the current statistics and what we can do as Americans to feed our fellow citizens.
