Join Mary Harris, MSS, LCSW a licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 22 years of experience working with older adults and their families, as she presents an in-depth discussion of Atul Gawande's best selling book, "Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End".
Dr. Gawande's game-changing book is being discussed widely in book clubs all over America, and receiving praise by fellow physicians and lay people the world over, for its insightful exploration of aging, mortality, terminal illness, and death and the many ethical dilemmas that often present themselves in these scenarios. This presentation will help familiarize you with Dr. Gawande's Research and the stories that helped from his views, and give you some tools and insight to better serve the sick; dying and their families.
