Rescheduled for January 15, 2018

Social Work and Disaster Relief

With many disasters that affected our nation in 2017 and in anticipation of the long recovery ahead, this workshop attempts to identify the role of the social worker in disaster relief. Attendees will learn to identify symptoms of compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder, specifically as related to disaster relief work. In addition, participants will explore social work implications for the future.
