Mark your calendars as the conference will take place Thursday, October 21 through Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Radisson Green Tree in Pittsburgh. NASW-PA is pulling together an amazing lineup of speakers, workshops, and exhibitors. This fall you will have the opportunity to hear from Assistant Secretary for Children and Families U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Acting Secretary of Public Welfare, CEO of UCP/CLASS (third largest disabilities agency in Pennsylvania), and CEO of Women’s Campaign Forum. These presenters’ topics and biographies are listed below.

We, at NASW-PA, are excited about the diversity of our workshops that cover infants to aging, school social work to juvenile justice, gambling to consumer panels, and of course several ethics workshops. The conference schedule has been crafted to maximize your CE potential, if you choose to attend all events, including one of our three pre-conference intensives; a total of 30 CEs will be yours. Three pre-conference intensives will be offered on Thursday, October 21, 2010 for 6 CEs. Separate registration is required for Clinical Supervision, Leadership in Advocacy, or Co-Occurring Assessment.

Sponsors, advertisers, and exhibitors are encouraged to contact Amy@nasw-pa.org to secure your participation at the conference. Come and showcase your agency, product, or service to over 400 social workers from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Register early to ensure listing in all of our conference promotional materials.

Radisson Green Tree in Pittsburgh room reservations may be made by calling (412) 922-8400. To receive the discounted rate, mention that you are part of the NASW-PA room block.

The conference program will be printed in NASW-PA’s summer newsletter and will be available online at www.nasw-pa.org in June 2010.

Hope to see you in Pittsburgh!

NASW-PA is providing social work students (current students and graduates within the past three years) the opportunity to showcase their research, methodologies, findings, and ideas for future research at our annual conference at the Radisson Green Tree in Pittsburgh. Have your research seen, heard, and potentially impact the delivery of services to clients/clinicians as you interact with social workers from across the state at our President’s Reception on Thursday evening, October 21, 2010. So much of your time has been spent on this project; take the time to share it with your peers!

Each entrant will be listed in our conference program, provided five feet of table top display space, invited to bring one guest to the President’s Reception, and will be extended the presenters conference fee rate if staying for the conference.

Submit your research project online at www.nasw-pa.org, by September 1, 2010. If you have questions, please contact Amy@nasw-pa.org.
